Watanuki Kimihiro seems like a normal high school student, although he is plagued by spirits that only he can see. One day he stumbles upon a strange shop where is fate changes.
Watanuki has always been able to see these spirits since he was very young, although as the encounters with the spirits starts to increase, he finds himself wishing that he cannot see them anymore. Everything changes when he stumbles across a strange shop. The shop owner, Yuuko the dimensional witch, can grant Watanuki’s wish only if Watanuki pays the price with something of equal value. In order to pay for his wish, he takes up work at Yuuko’s shop as a part time employee.
As Watanuki has no family and lives by himself, he spends most of his time at Yuuko's shop and helps her with cooking and does errands for Yuuko. His rival, Shizuka Doumeki and love interest, Himawari Kunogi, helps Watanuki occasionally with some errands and over time, they start to become increasingly close.
