Cardcaptor Sakura
Cardcaptor Sakura is about a ten year old girl, Sakura Kinomoto, who discovers a mysterious book named the Clow book, and is appointed the task of saving the world from the mischievous Clow cards.
Sakura is just an ordinary, fourth grader at Tomoeda Elementary. One day when she returns home, she hears a mysterious noise coming from her basement and since there is nobody home, she assumes that it might be a burglar. Armed with her cheerleading baton, she goes down into the basement to find nobody there. Out of the corner of her eye, she notices a book glowing and takes it off the shelf. As she picks the book up, to her surprise, it opens itself. Taking the first card off the top of the deck, she reads out the word "WINDY" that is inscribed on the card. As she reads out the card name, all of the other cards are scattered by a mysterious wind, which WINDY has caused. Kero, the Guardian beast of the Clow cards, appears out of the front cover of the Clow Book and appoints Sakura as a Cardcaptor.
Kero tells her that since she had enough magical power to open the book, therefore releasing all the cards, she must capture all the cards to prevent a disaster that will befall the whole world. Sakura now faces her biggest challenge, to capture all of the cards whilst facing many different obstacles.
